Description
The Texas State University School of Family and Consumer Sciences is seeking an energetic faculty member who is committed to the highest standards of professional activities. The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate courses face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats to support students seeking teacher certification in Family and Consumer Sciences. Courses include topics such as family and personal resource management, instructional management for family and consumer sciences, and family and consumer sciences: clinical student teaching. The candidate will collaborate with The College of Education, Office of Educator Preparation (OEP) as the program coordinator for clinical teaching. This includes preparing students for the clinical teaching experience (student teaching) as well as supervising and mentoring students during their clinical experience per instructions from OEP.
The position may include teaching responsibilities in one of the following programs: Consumer Affairs, Fashion Merchandising, Human Development and Family Sciences, Interior Design, or Nutrition and Foods.
