Overview

Gates Four Golf and Country Club is a semi-private facility located in Fayetteville, NC. We currently have about 350 members with half being golf members and the balance social members.

On an annual basis the facility plays around 18k-20k rounds per year, and host more than 75+ outside outings and fundraisers.

This position would oversee tee sheet managment, cart staff, merchandising, along with indise/outside operations.

Experience Required

Prior experience in golf operations and overseeing and being involved in tournament operations is required.

Essential Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities - include but are not limited to...

• Maintain a welcoming and positive attitude to promote a quality golf experience to members and guests.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Assist in the promotion, planning, organization and execution of the highest quality golf events for members, guests and outside entities.
• Play golf with members of all skill levels

Operations

• Assist with golfer check-in, control, and manage play and tee sheet data capture and optimization
• Assist with all opening and closing procedures
• Train and supervise Golf Outside Operations Staff with the goal of ensuring the highest quality customer experience
• Assist in managing golf cart fleet, practice facility and club storage.

Golf Retail

• Execute the daily operations of the golf shop
• Offer specialist advice using product knowledge, recommend products and services to exceed customer expectations
  Assist in inventory control of hard goods, soft goods and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures and point of sale.
• Ensure that the golf shop is clean, orderly, well stocked and professionally presented at all times.
• Monitor and regularly update sales display areas and merchandise high traffic areas.

Member Services

• Assist in providing club repair and club fitting services
• Monitor and remain visible at the range and other practice areas to provide member service and ensure club standards
• Perform starter and marshal duties as required
• Support an active Junior Golf Program that includes clinic, school, and individual instruction, PGA Junior League.
