| Position Highlights | The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (CBC) at the University of Arizona invites applications for a full-time Career Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice with expertise in teaching general and organic chemistry. Primary responsibilities include a combination of teaching and development of organic chemistry courses and development and management of organic chemistry laboratories and curriculum. Additional courses, including the first-year chemistry sequence in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department curriculum, may also be assigned as the need arises. Contributions of service and outreach will be expected. This is an academic year (9-month) position at 1.0 FTE starting in Fall 2026. We seek candidates with a background in organic chemistry. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate level and to fostering a welcoming environment. Individuals who apply should be committed to working with faculty members and students to advance the educational mission of the department. We seek individuals who bring enthusiasm, leadership capability, and a deep commitment to academic excellence. This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure.
