Overview

Southern Oaks is seeking an aspiring golf professional to join its ranks as a PGA Associate. The PGA Professional staff will be engaged in developing a successful candidate through hands-on experience across multiple endeavors, achieving educational goals through the PGA of America, and professional mentorship to provide a true learning experience. The next team member will be professionally responsible for promoting the game of golf and Club activities while providing a high level of service and professionalism. They will be invited and encouraged to assist in the management of golf operations and the development of programs to increase activity and satisfaction within the facility.

Experience Required

PGA Level II Associate or higher preferred

Junior golf coaching competence

Teaching and coaching competence

Golf Genius Software knowledge

USGA/WHS Systems general knowledge

Basic Microsoft Office Skills

Essential Responsibilities

The functionality of this position will include, but is not limited to:

• Assuming responsibility for exceptional service throughout the entire golf operation
• Executing proper accounting through the point-of-sale system
• Managing play for the day
• Organizing and executing all tournaments as well as special events and functions at the Club
• Providing professional instruction in accordance with PGA Standards
• Overseeing all aspects of the outside golf operations to ensure service expectations are being met through the following of daily policies & procedures while accomplishing service goals
• Assisting in the merchandising operation of the golf shop

Compensation

• Total Compensation $42,000-$60,000

Additional Income -

Junior Golf - $5,000-8,000

Lessons - $2,000-$9,000

Outing Commission - $500-$1,000
