OverviewJonathan's Landing Golf Club, a Platinum Club of America and Distinguished Emerald Club, is ideally situated in the heart of Jupiter, Florida and is defined by a rich heritage of tradition, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to delivering a premier private club experience. Recognized as one of South Florida's most distinguished facilities, the Club features three championship golf courses across two campuses, The Village and Old Trail, each offering a unique and memorable experience, all seamlessly connected within an active and engaged membership.
Jonathan's Landing offers an exceptional collection of amenities designed to enhance every aspect of the member lifestyle. The Club is home to a state-of-the-art Sports & Wellness Center, complete with a full-service spa and salon, as well as an expansive racquets program featuring ten Har-Tru tennis courts and three pickleball courts. Members also enjoy a variety of dining venues, social experiences, and year-round programming that creates a dynamic and welcoming club environment.
Experience Required
Candidates should possess prior golf operations and customer service experience within a private club environment or a high-volume facility, with a clear understanding of delivering a premier member experience consistent with the standards of Jonathan's Landing Golf Club. Previous private club experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a team-first approach in all aspects of daily operations. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing is essential, along with the capacity to understand and carry out both verbal and written instructions with consistency and professionalism.
Candidates must exhibit a high level of professionalism and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with management, fellow team members, and the membership. PGA Membership along with prior experience as an Assistant Golf Professional, is preferred and considered a strong advantage.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver a high level of personalized service to members and guests, anticipating needs and ensuring an exceptional club experience.
- Assist the Lead Assistant Golf Professional and senior team members in the daily operations of the golf department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Assist in monitoring pace of play and on-course operations to promote an enjoyable and efficient experience for all players.
- Oversee the daily setup and presentation of practice facilities, ensuring alignment with club standards.
- Manage tee time reservations, ensuring accurate accounting of rounds utilizing the club's tee sheet system.
- Assist in managing inventory, including oversight of the demo and rental club program.
- Support the planning and execution of all golf tournaments and special events, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants.
- Assist in member communications, including event promotion, operational updates, and informational messaging.
- Provide golf instruction to members and guests while prioritizing daily operational responsibilities.
- Perform club repairs as needed.
- Maintain the golf shop's cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation.
- Administer point-of-sale (POS) systems related to golf operations, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
- Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform member check-in, and resolve any discrepancies related to charges or billing.
- Promote all golf department offerings, ensuring members and guests are informed of available services and programs.
- Assist in training and mentoring team members to support a consistent, high level of service.
