Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team and assists the Director of Golf / Head Golf Professional in managing all golf and golf-related activities at the private facility.

Experience Required

• Must have stong customer/guest orientation
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented
• Exceptional knowledge of the game of golf
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills - Word, Excel, POS, etc. (knowledge of Jonas a plus)
• Experience in Golf Industry preferred
• PGA Class A member in good standing is preferred
• Experience with GHIN a plus
• Knowledge of Golf Genius a plus

Essential Responsibilities

• Administers all point of sales application as it applies to charging greens and cart fee sales, merchadise sales, and member/guest billing. Coordinates with Accounting Departments all policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, and charge members and guests.
• Assist in the operation of the pro shop.
• Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
• Process Tee Time reservations for members and guests of the golf course.
• Assist in coordination of individual, group, and tournament play as directed.
• Works closely with Caddie Master to monitor all aspects of play including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course and golf course markings and if any course restrictions.
• Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process.
• Assists in reconcilliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day.Perform related duties as assigned.
• Enforce Rules & Regulations of the Club.
