Overview

Elkview Country Club is situated in Greenfield Twp between Crystal & Newton Lakes 20 miles north of Scranton, PA. This picturesque setting is a Donald Ross design that celebrated it's 100th anniversary in 2019 and has a reputation for its fast and undulating greens.

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the rest of the professional staff in the operation of all aspects of the club's golf related activities. Our number one goal is to provide outstanding member/guest service while promoting the game of golf at Elkview.

The position is seasonal and scheduled to start approximately 3/23/26, but is flexible. This position normally runs until early November. I will work with the qualified candidate on start and end date if needed.

Competitive salary based on experience in the golf business.

Experience Required

• While experience in a private club setting is preferred, applicants new to the golf industry will also be considered
• Have a great personality, proactive mindset, and be willing to challenge yourself to be the best golf professional that you can be
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• The successful applicant will work 5 days / 40 hours a week with the exception of one week in July where overtime will be required (Member/Guest week).

Essential Responsibilities

Assist the Head Golf Professional with all golf related duties that include but are not limited too:

• Tournament and league administration using the Golf Genius tournament software
• Merchandising of the Golf Shop which includes: ordering, receiving, displaying, and selling
• Player Development: You will be able to teach as much as you want in the form of individual lessons and group clinincs
• Assist with the Junior Golf Program which includes the Elkview PGA Jr. League team
• Assistant in managing outside service personel
• Playing with membership at the club and in local Pro-ams in eligible to do so
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the golf operation
• Serve as starter/ranger when needed
• Assist with Bagroom/Driving range in the shoulder season
