Lords Valley Country Club is a member-owned Private Club located within the Hemlock Farms Community in Northeast PA. The Club boasts a beautiful, USGA-rated, challenging, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Norman Woods. Other golf facilities include a practice range, chipping and putting green, locker room, pro shop and "19 th Hole" snack bar. Our professional staff runs clinics every week in the summer, including children's and beginner's sessions.

Lords Valley Country Club has been recognized as one of the Platinum Clubs of America.

Summary:

The Assistant Golf Professional will report directly to the Head Golf Professional and will assist with all daily facets of the golf shop operation and all related activities. Responsibilities include providing the highest level of customer service to members and guests; assisting with outings and weekly organized play; assisting in starter/ranger duties and bag-room supervision; providing golf instruction to golfers of all skill levels; developing, promoting, and coordinating tournaments and golf activities for the entire membership; assist in managing a quality merchandising program; being able to interpret and enforce the Rules of Golf and club rules and policies.

Experience Required

Some experience required - the ideal applicant will have experience as an Assistant Professional and will be enrolled as a PGA apprentice.

Essential responsibilities

• Meet, greet, and welcome members and guests in the Golf Pro Shop.
• Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to members and guests.
• Promote a professional atmosphere and personal appearance.
• Assist with merchandising of the Golf Pro Shop.
• Assist with member tournament operations and weekly organized play.
• Assist with outside outing operations.
• Conduct golf lessons and assist with clinics and kid's camp.
• Assist in overseeing the reservation system, starting, and monitoring of play.
• Assist with the administration of the handicap program.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Assist in the marketing and promotion of new memberships / play.
• Assist in promoting the Pro Shop through social media and short videos.
