Kemper Lakes Golf Club is a nationally recognized private club located in Long Grove, Illinois. Known for hosting some of the biggest events in professional golf, Kemper Lakes has welcomed elite competion including the 1989 PGA Championship, the Grand Slam of Golf, and the 2018 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, along with many other Illinois PGA Section events, Illinois Open Championship, National PGA Junior Championship Qualifiers, and CDGA Amatuer events.

The Assistant Golf Professional chosen for this position will play a key role in supporting daily golf operations while contributing to a professional, member and guest focused environment.

Experience Required

• PGA Member or Associate preferred
• Strong playing and teaching ability
• Outgoing, professional, and service driven personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Tournament operations experience preferred
• Proficiency with Jonas Point of Sale System a plus
• Proficiency with Golf Genius Tournament Software a plus
• Proficiency with Members First Tee Sheet Reservation System a plus
• Club regripping

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in all day-to-day areas of the golf operation including opening and closing procedures
• Provide exceptional service to members and guests at all times
• Support tournament operations including, planning, promotion, administration, and execution
• Assist in golf shop merchandising, inventory management, and daily golf shop responsibilities
• Provide the highest quality instruction in individual and group environments
• Assist with and contribute to the Junior Golf Programs
• Play golf with a variety of members throughout the season
• Support member golf event and social events throughout the season
• Assist in Player Development Programs
• PGA Junior League
• Assist with Monday golf outings and event execution
• Help oversee the practice facility operations and outside services as needed
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, service, and club culture
• Work collaboratively with the Head Golf Professional and the entire Kemper Lakes Golf Club staff
• Provide club repair and club fitting services to our members and guests
