Position Overview

Black Diamond Golf Academy is seeking a dedicated  Assistant Golf Professional  to join our team. This position is designed for a  PGA Associate actively pursuing Class A membership  who is looking to gain comprehensive experience in teaching, player development, club fitting, club building, and golf retail operations while working in a high-performance academy environment.

Black Diamond Golf Academy is a  high-performance golf training and club optimization center  dedicated to developing players and their equipment together.

It combines:

• Elite coaching and player development  through structured, professional instruction
• Modern training methods  focused on technique, consistency, and the mental game
• Professional club fitting and custom club building , ensuring every golfer's equipment is precisely matched to their swing, body, and performance goals
• Precision and craftsmanship , where coaching insights and data-driven fitting work hand in hand

We fit with Trackman to ensure the player is using the best equipment for their game. We are moving from a single person shop to a multi-staffed full retail shop and training environment.  The new facility will be 4500 sq ft with two bays, a putting green and fully stocked hard goods retail and build shop.

Experience Required

Required Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in the PGA Associate Program and in good standing
• Commitment to completing the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) program and achieving PGA Class A Membership
• Strong communication, teaching, and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in player development, club fitting, and equipment technology
• Desire to learn and advance in golf club building and repair
• Ability to manage staff and oversee daily retail operations
• Leadership mindset with strong organizational skills

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality golf instruction to players of all skill levels in alignment with PGA teaching standards and best practices
• Conduct advanced club fitting sessions using modern fitting technologies, including Trackman, for golfers of all abilities
• Develop skills in golf club building, repair, and customization in accordance with industry and PGA standards
• Assist in the daily management and operation of the retail golf shop
• Support scheduling, merchandising, inventory management, and point-of-sale operations
• Lead, train, and supervise shop staff as needed
• Uphold the PGA Code of Ethics and represent Black Diamond Golf Academy in a professional manner at all times

Benefits

Compensation & Professional Benefits

• $20.00 per hour
• 1% commission on all retail shop sales (Around $5,000 anticipated)
• $60.00 per lesson upgrade in pay ($80.00 per 45 minute lesson) Anticipated 3-4 lessons per day will be provided by facility. **Lesson pricing dependent on experience***
• Opportunity to earn, log, and apply PGA Associate work experience hours
• Mentorship and hands-on experience to support progression toward PGA Class A status
• Equipment Staff Deals will be available.
• PGA Annual Dues covered.
