Description
OverviewMonroe Golf Club is currently in the process of hiring its next Head Golf Professional and General Manager. All applications will be carefully reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted following the PGA Show in January.
Monroe was founded in 1923, and the Donald Ross-designed course opened on July 4, 1924. The club is known for its vibrant membership, with programs for members and guests of all ages and skill levels. The club culture is family-oriented, and the members enjoy a neighborhood-like environment with robust tournament, instruction, and merchandise programs! Golf Digest Magazine has recognized the course as Best in State and is annually ranked as a GolfWeek Top 150 Classic.
Monroe has also played host to the Monroe Invitational, an elite amateur event that continues to be ranked in the Top 20 in the World. It has enjoyed showcasing players like Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Brandt Snedeker, and Andy Ogletree (2019 Champion, 2019 US Amateur Champion, and Low Amateur at The Masters in 2020).

The Monroe Golf Professional Staff aims to provide our members and guests with a uniquely personalized golf experience that consistently exceeds expectations by offering a memorable experience daily. Experience Required
The successful candidate should have experience with tournaments, teaching lessons, managing merchandise and providing first-class service. Candidates from a high-end public or resort course will be considered; however, Private Club experience is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
The Assistant Professional will serve as a main point of contact for our Membership. This position will play a significant role in managing our daily experience, assisting with our diverse tournament program, coaching our junior golf programs, and helping with our merchandise program.
Potential Responsibilities:
- Involvement with our Men's or Women's League and Tournament Program
- Provide Private Instruction and Club Fittings
- Monitor Daily Play and Oversee the Bag Room from the First Tee
- Work alongside a group of like-minded individuals to provide our membership with a first-class experience in all facets of the operation
- Execute Daily Opening & Closing Procedures within the Golf Shop & Golf Services operation
- Enjoy Golf with Members regularly
- Serve as a Golf Ambassador around the club and within the community for Monroe Golf Club
