Description
OverviewWildwood Country Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our talented team. Wildwood Country Club was founded in 1952 and opened for play in 1953. Located in Louisville, KY, Wildwood is in the heart of bluegrass country with a strong, young, developing membership. Wildwood recently went through a renovation which included the Golf Shop, Clubhouse, Locker Rooms, and Patio area. Added amenities include an Indoor Simulator and Inside to Outside hitting bays for year around instruction and fitting.
The candidate will assist the Head Golf Professional with instituting and managing member-oriented programs and services. These include but are not limited to golf tournaments, leagues, merchandising and golfer development programs. The ability of year around instruction and club fitting allows for a vast opportunity for instruction for all 12 months. This position will also be an important member of the team that represents the Golf Operation for our Monday Golf Outings. Wildwood has a reputation of advancing its Assistant Golf Professionals on to Head Golf Professionals. Come join our awesome team!
Experience Required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Golf Genius experience
- Teaching Experience/ Junior Golf Experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of Golf Merchandise
- Tee Sheet Management
- Days and Weekends are required
- PGA Membership is encouraged. Working towards your PGA Membership is preferred to not in the PGA Program.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide excellent service to the members and their guests in the Country Club.
• Organize and coordinate golf leagues, outings, and events.
• Will provide instruction which includes lessons, group clinics, junior camps and private fittings to members and guests.
• PGA Junior League Coach / Junior Golf Instruction
• Assist with tee sheet management, Pace of Play, and Day to Day Operations.
• Assist Head Golf Professional with inventory, merchandising, and charging special orders.
• Perform club repair which includes regripping of clubs, and re-shafting of clubs.
