Overview

Irish Waters Golf Club is located between Green Bay & Appleton WI, in the town of Freedom, WI. The golf club, open to the public since 1993, offers memberships and hosts full league schedules throughout the season. The 18 hole course design includes gently sloping fairways winding through picturesque Wisconsin country side. The partially wooded course, built along beautiful Duck Creek, includes 8 ponds and attracts many golfers wishing to play the area's only island green!

Irish Waters GC is a fun, family friendly environment, which hosts numerous events, from weddings to golf outings, throughout the year, along with a full bar/restaurant and outdoor patio. A full practice range and putting green are also available to all guests.

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist in running all aspects of the golf operation and will play a vital role in the success of the overall operation.
Start and end dates can be flexible. Roughly March/April through October/November. May have winter hours as well.

Experience Required

Level 1 or higher in the PGM Program. Ideally have 1-2 years of experience or more in the golf business, but willing to train an energetic individual, interested in the golf business.

Essential Responsibilities

Assist in managing facility tournament operations including weekly events, member events, leagues and golf events
Assist in teaching Junior Golf Program with the Head Golf Professional as needed or requested
Assist in Player Development programs using PGA tools and resources
Provide club repair and club fitting services to customers
Aids in the selection, scheduling, supervision, training and evaluation of employees in golf shop and outside operations.
Assist with management of outside service staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
Assist in managing golf car operations and the practice facility
Responsible for cleanliness and proper rotation of the golf cars
Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play
Assist with all opening and closing procedures of the golf shop
Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales
Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments
Maintain an attractive, orderly and appealing appearance in golf shop.
Receives and resolves complaints from guests and personnel
Serves as an Irish Waters representative within the community.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
With all other employees; is responsible for the cleanliness of all common areas.
Enforces and follows the employee handbook.
Aids in the management of the website, social media programs and email blasts.
Any other tasks assigned by the Ownership, General Manager or Head Golf Professional
