Overview

DuPont Country Club is a 45 hole facility located in North Wilmington, DE about 35 minutes south of Philadelphia. Purchased in 2018, the current owners have invested more than $30mm back into the club. With a brand new practice facility that includes 6 indoor/outdoor hitting bays, a 5 acre short game area and a two tier practice tee, DuPont CC Golf Academy is the best place to improve your game in the entire region.

DCC is an active club with more than 2k golf members and 70k rounds played annually.

The Assistant Golf Professional supports the overall golf operation, delivering exceptional member service and helping maintain a premier golf experience. This role assists with daily golf shop operations, tournaments, instruction, merchandising, and member engagement while upholding the club's standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Experience Required

• PGA Associate (preferred or actively pursuing).
• Previous experience at a private club or high-end golf facility is helpful, but not necessary. We will train the right person who has a passion for learning the golf business.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; commitment to superior member service.
• Knowledge of golf operations software (e.g., Golf Genius, Nothstrar) is helpful.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours.
• Passion for the game of golf and enthusiasm for growing the sport.

Essential Responsibilities

Member Services & Golf Operations

• Deliver outstanding, personalized service to members and their guests.
• Assist in managing daily tee sheets, starter operations, pace of play, and golf cart fleet.
• Provide professional guidance on club policies, course conditions, and upcoming events.

Golf Shop & Merchandising

• Support opening and closing procedures of the golf shop.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving, tagging, and displaying merchandise.
• Promote and sell merchandise, offering product knowledge and personalized recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.

Instruction & Player Development

• Assist with clinics for players of all skill levels.
• Support junior golf programs, summer camps, and player development initiatives.
• Stay current with teaching technology, equipment, and industry trends.

Tournaments & Events

• Assist with planning, organizing, and executing club tournaments, leagues, and special events.
• Utilize tournament software to set up formats, scoring, pairings, and results.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless event operations and exceptional experiences.

Administration & Professional Conduct

• Maintain accurate records for handicap services, tournament results, and billing.
• Uphold PGA standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.
• Act as a positive representative of the club at all times, both on and off the course.
