Babcock National Golf and Country Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our dedicated team. This position will work closely with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional, supporting daily golf operations and enhancing the overall member experience.

Experience Required

• E xperience working at a private club is strongly preferred.
• Enrollment in Level 2 or completion of PGA of America apprenticeship program or related education required .

Essential Responsibilities

Job Summary:
Babcock National Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the golf program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing an exceptional member and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily golf operation, including player check-in, tee time coordination, and overall member service.

• Will serve as the point of contact for the Outside Operations, will schedule and provide direction for the operations, based on the input of the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional.

• Serve as Tournament Coordinator for at least one club league.

• Support the planning and execution of club events and tournaments.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked golf shop with appealing merchandise displays.

• Collect and reconcile greens fees and other payments; ensure accurate daily accounting and deposits.

• Oversee the organization of the bag room and range pass system .

• Monitor pace of play and manage Chelsea Tee Time Reservations.

• Conduct individual and group lessons or clinics in accordance with club policies and the approval of the Director of Golf.

• Provide guidance and assistance to members and guests throughout the facility.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Fundamental understanding of golf course operations, including retail merchandising, concessions, and golf course maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of golf terminology, etiquette, and USGA rules.

• Proven ability to enforce course and facility rules with professionalism, fairness, and tact.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide clear instructions and feedback.

• Proficiency in Golf Genius, Chelsea, and Golf365 Premiere software preferred.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, up to 40 hours per week.
