OverviewHistory:
Lake Bracken Country Club is a beautiful community nestled in west central Illinois. The facility offers an 18-Hole private golf course with driving range, putting green, and short game area and a well-stocked proshop. Additionally, there is a full-service restaurant and bar. A lake for fishing and pontoon boats, atv trails, tennis/pickleball court are all on site as well as a brand-new swimming pool set to open in 2024. Lake Bracken Country Club just celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022.
As the Assistant Golf Professional at Lake Bracken, your role involves supporting the operations of a golf facility while providing exceptional customer service and assisting in various aspects of golf management.

Experience Required
- Registered PGA Associate working towards Class A or Class A member preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a golf-related role or relevant education in golf management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of golf equipment, rules, and etiquette.
- Experience with golf instruction and the ability to teach players of different skill levels.
- Proficiency in using golf management software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
Duties
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to golfers, guests, and members by assisting with tee times, answering inquiries, and handling registration/check-in processes.
- Golf Operations: Assist in managing daily golf operations including managing the pro shop, organizing tournaments, and coordinating golf events.
- Instruction: Offer golf lessons to players of varying skill levels, providing guidance on technique, swing analysis, and other aspects to improve their game. Promote and enhance current junior golf programming and increase PGA Jr. League participation.
- Promote and create player development (i.e. clinics, on-course, and/or individual lessons)
- Sales and Marketing: Support promotional activities, assist in marketing initiatives, and drive sales through pro shop merchandise and services.
- Tournament & League Coordination
- Supervision of Golf Staff
