Junior National Golf Club is a premier 18-Hole golf facility dedicated to serving junior golfers in the West Valley. Our mission is to promote the game of golf by offering high-quality instruction, mentoring, and competitive opportunities for young golfers: all FREE of charge. Our commitment to nurturing the next generation of golfers is reflected in everything we do. We are looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and help grow our youth-focused programs.
Job Overview
As an Assistant Golf Professional at Junior National Golf Club, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional golf experiences for junior players, promoting the growth of the game, and supporting the overall mission of the club. This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for teaching and working with youth golfers, as well as for an individual looking to develop their career in the golf industry.
Experience Required
- Experience:
Previous experience teaching or working with junior golfers, either in a golf or coaching capacity, is preferred. A passion for golf and experience playing at a competitive level is a plus. - Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the game of golf, including rules, etiquette, and fundamental techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young golfers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with golf software, scheduling systems, and basic club operations is a plus.
- GolfGenius software familiarity is appreciated, but not necessary.
- Certifications:
PGA or LPGA Associate status is preferred, but not required. Additional coaching certifications or training in youth development is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the course for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry golf equipment when needed.
