Located in Richland, MI just northeast of Kalamazoo, Gull Lake Country Club has 18 holes and sits on the west shore of beautiful Gull Lake. Founded in 1911 the club has a strong history of golf and lake life that gives a true Up North feel. Gull Lake is a member owned private facility that includes Golf, Tennis, Dining, Yacht Club & Sailing, Platform Tennis, and a new TrackMan studio. Option to carry the A1 title for the right candidate.

Experience Required

Current PGA or LPGA member or Associate in good standing

Private club experience preferred

Proficient in Golf Genius, Jonas

Essential Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Golf, the Assistant Professional is responsible for the professional presentation and delivery of all aspects of the golf operation. This detail oriented and energetic person will provide the highest level of service, follow through, and professionalism for the members and their guests. The role includes leading a strong and polished outside services staff, tournament management, league management, and running a high level junior golf program. This candidate should have or be working toward a PGA membership and advancing their career upward.

• Directly responsible for hiring, training and scheduling of outside services staff (within a set budget)
• Assisting with merchandising, inventory controls, ordering and receiving for an award winning retail store (2020, 2024 Merchandiser of the year - Private)
• Regularly playing golf with members and entertaining them at travel pro-am's
• Provide a high level of private golf instruction and clinics
• Assist the Director of Golf in enforcing the clubs Rules & Regulations
• Management of the first tee and tee sheet for a non tee time club
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Assist in the marketing of all golf related programs
