Overview

Flint Golf Club is a private club founded in 1910 located in Flint Michigan. The course has hosted many of Michigan's Major Championships that include: Men's, Women's and Junior Amateur as well as the Michigan PGA. We are seeking a seasonal assistant professional that will assist in all aspects of the golf operation. All duties of the postion shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of member services resulting in an exceptional overall experience for members and their guest.

Experience Required

• Prior experiance as an Assistant Golf Professioanl or golf industry
• Applicant must activley persuing PGA membership in a timley manner
• Private club experience prefered not necessary
• Fundamental knowledge of game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
• Knowledge of Golf Genius Tounament software
• Knowlede of Club Profit software helpful
• Club fitting experience
• Self motivated
• Detail oriented
• Stong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
• Outgoing engaging personality
• Good comunicion skills
• Above average playing ability

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in management of day-to-day operations
• Assists members and guests by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations
• Interprets and enforces Club policies
• Follows directives and completes assignments with minimum supervision
• Performs all work according to established procedures
• Avails him/herself, to the best of his/her abilities, to directly assist in the furtherance of member satisfaction
• Always maintains a friendly, hospitable and helpful attitude with all members, guest and fellow teammates
• Assist in execution of weekly men's and women's events
• Assist in the execution of all club events
• Assist in displaying golf shop merchandising
• Assist in executing sales and promotional plans
• Assist in the receiving and displaying of merchandise
• Assist with monthly inventories
• Assist with junior camps and clinics
• Conduct lessons
• Perform club fittings
• Sell merchandise
• Manage daily opening and closing of golf operations
• Assist in management of GHIN handicap system
• Maintain aesthetics of the golf shop
• Devote a reasonable amount of time to play with members of all skill levels
• Participate in Section and National tournements
• Perform starter or marshal duties regularly
• Oversee maintenace of cart fleet
• Assist with supervision and training outside service staff
• Work well as a team with golf staff
• All other duties assigned by management
