Overview

IMG Academy Golf Club is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional with a strong work ethic who will assist with all facets of the golf operation. IMG Academy Golf Club has a very active tournament schedule and membership with 55,000 rounds played annually. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in golf and tournament operations, as well as, customer service experience.

Experience Required

-Class A PGA Membership, or PGA Associate actively working towards Class A PGA Membership in good standing.

-Positive-attitude, strong organizational and communication skills

-Desire to learn and continue to develop career as a Golf Professional

-Passion for working in a team-oriented environment where providing exceptional customer service is paramount

-Working knowledge of Jonas and Golf Genius

-Work effectively with fellow golf & non-golf departments at IMG Academy and Legacy Hotel to ensure guest satisfaction

-Continue to improve personal professional skills with a desire to advance as a Golf Professional

Essential Responsibilities

The Assistant Golf Professional assists the Director of Golf in managing the daily golf operations, tournament operations and tee sheet management. All responsibilities will be executed with a focus on providing an exceptional golf experience to our guests.

Additional Specific Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

-Working with golf staff to ensure the daily operation is running smoothly

-Regularly monitor golf course activity and staff performance throughout the day

-Answering telephones, booking tee times, checking-in guests upon arrival

-Assisting guests with all retail needs

-Assist in tournament operations as well as set up in Golf Genius

-Work effectively with fellow golf & non-golf departments at IMG Academy and Legacy Hotel to ensure guest satisfaction

-Continue to improve personal professional skills with a desire to advance as a Golf Professional
