Overview

New Bern Golf & Country Club is seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Professional to join the professional staff. This position offers exposure to all aspects of the golf operation and provides an excellent opportunity to advance in the golf industry. The ideal candidate is motivated, personable, and passionate about the game of golf and delivering an exceptional member experience.

Founded in 1920, New Bern Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club located on the Trent River in New Bern, North Carolina. The 18-hole championship course, redesigned by Ellis Maples in 1947, has been enhanced over the years with the most recent renovation in 2017. In addition to golf, the club offers tennis, swimming, fitness, fine dining, and a wide variety of social events, creating a vibrant and active community for members and staff alike.

Experience Required

• PGA Membership or actively progressing PGA Associate
• Proficiency with Golf Genius, GHIN, USGA Rules of Golf
• 2+ years of golf industry experience
• Experience in instruction and player-development programs
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Background in high-end customer service

Essential Responsibilities

The Assistant Golf Professional will support the Head Golf Professional in managing all areas of the golf operation, including:

• Providing outstanding customer service to members and guests
• Overseeing daily Golf operations in coordination with the Golf Course Superintendent
• Assist with Golf Shop merchandising
• Play golf rounds with members and their guests
• Teaching private and group lessons, as well as Junior and Ladies development programs
• Supervising, scheduling and training Outside Operations staff
• Advise and collaborate with club Men's and Ladies Golf Associations

Promoting, administering and executing member tournaments and golf events
