Description
OverviewAndrew Kiger Golf is seeking part-time Assistant Golf Instructors to join our team at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC, and The Club at 12 Oaks in Holly Springs, NC. These roles support our year-round Operation 36® player development programs, which include junior, men's, and women's classes, and involve working directly with Andrew Kiger, PGA, along with lead coaches Matthew Palmer and Bo Bolick.
The ideal candidate is passionate about player development, enjoys working in a team environment, and is eager to gain hands-on coaching experience within a proven instructional model. Responsibilities include assisting with weekly classes, supporting on-course events, helping with setup and breakdown of training stations, and engaging players in a structured and encouraging learning environment.
Experience Required
- Prior experience in golf instruction, youth sports coaching, or group instruction preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with players of all ages and skill levels
- Ability to work collaboratively with a lead coach and follow structured lesson plans
- Comfortable creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Availability for weekday afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends for 9-hole events
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with weekly Operation 36 classes for juniors, men, and women
- Support coaching during 9-hole events, group clinics, and player development programs
- Set up and break down training stations, practice areas, and on-course activities
- Provide encouragement, feedback, and guidance to players
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment
- Collaborate with lead coaches and follow structured session plans
