Riverbend Country Club is seeking a qualified, highly motivated, team-oriented individual for the Assistant Superintendent position. This position is a hands-on, actively working position. Riverbend Country Club is a private, member-owned golf club. The course was built in 1957, originally designed by Press Maxwell Jr., and later renovated by Jeff Blume. We are currently building a plan to renovate the golf course in 2027.

• A 2- or 4-year degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or similar.
• Previous golf course maintenance work preferred.
• Must be able to keep work areas organized and clean.
• Must possess basic computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to obtain Texas pesticide license within the first three months of employment.
• Have basic knowledge of pesticide and fertilizer usage, soil conditioners and alternative methods of plant health management.
• Ability to diagnose turfgrass disease and nutrient deficiencies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and correspond with staff, management, and members.
• Must be willing to be hands-on.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be a motivated individual with goals of advancing in the industry.
• Willingness to grow and develop as an individual, a leader, and a team player.
