Description

Position | Assistant General Manager
Columbia Edgewater Country Club, Portland, OR
About the Club | Founded in 1925, Columbia Edgewater has been part of Portland's golf landscape for over a century. Our members share an unbridled love of the game and throughout the decades we have seen many of them develop into players who excel at the local, regional and national level. Our Club serves as a place where families can spend time together and enjoy the company of other member families as they learn and embrace the game of golf.
Originally established as Columbia Country Club. Arthur Vernon ("A.V.") Macan was selected to design the course, which opened on July 11, 1925, and was the seventh 18-hole course in Portland, Oregon. Macan was the premiere designer of the time in the Northwest, renovating or designing over 60 courses in his lifetime. Other courses designed by Macan include Seattle Golf Club, Shaughnessy Golf Club, Manito Golf Club, California Golf Club of San Francisco, Inglewood Golf Club, Overlake Golf and Country Club and Marine Drive Golf Club.
The Club recently renovated the Clubhouse with a $8.8M renovation completed in 2024. Our members and invited guests play approximately 36,000 rounds annually. A long-time host to the LPGA Portland Classic, Columbia Edgewater continues to support Championship golf by hosting local, regional and national tournaments such as the Oregon Open, the Oregon Amateur, the Northwest Open, Oregon Golf Association championships, and Pacific Northwest Golf Association championships.
Columbia Edgewater CC is a member-owned Club, with a Board of Directors overseeing the Club's strategy and long-term planning and a management team led by a General Manager overseeing its day-to-day operations.
CECC VISION | Year-Round Championship Golf and Club Experience
CECC MISSION | To provide a Championship golf course, practice facilities and game improvement experience, quality dining and member activities and long-term financial stability
"I've been to hundreds of LPGA events but never have seen a golf course that looked better. In my opinion, Columbia Edgewater is one of the best golf courses on the West Coast and one of America's great old courses." Jim Achenbach, Senior Writer, Golfweek Magazine
