Overview

Summer internship from mid-May through mid-August. If intern is not availible until June and we feel they will be a good fit for our facility, we can work with them on a later start date. In this position, the intern will learn the full scope of managing a golf course while they will work directly with the Director of Golf, the Head Professional, the General Manager, and the Owner of Windy Hill Golf Course. During the summer, Windy Hill runs junior and adult programming and tournaments for more than 400 clients. We are seeking a dedicated student to help us run each program to the highest potential and provide them with resources to prepare for their carreer in golf. With flexibity to design your own programming, we aspire to help you determine your best path forward in this industry. We will train you in the pro shop, coaching students of all ages, and provide carrer development opportunities under our management staff. Windy Hill Golf Course is a family run facility with a 9 hole regulation course, a lighted Par 3 Course, 65 driving range bays, 10 TopTracer range bays, 36 holes of mini golf, batting cages, go karts, and a full bar & grill.

Experience Required

• Multiple years of golf experience
• Previous golf course experience (pro shop attendent, outside service, or any previous job at a golf course)
• Reccomended coaching experience
• Reccomended experience playing on a golf team
• Reccomended expereince working with people of all ages

Essential Responsibilities

• Work under the Director of Golf to help run golf tournaments, leagues, and clinics.
• Assist the Head Profession and Assistant Professionals in programming.
• Help run and manage junior summer camps and PGA Jr. League. The intern will be a manager of other camp counselors.
• Assist in elevating our night golf experiences.
• Work in the pro shop and assist in managing inventory.
