Description
The Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Adolescent Medicine Faculty physician to join our Division. The position is focused on clinical care as well as teaching. The applicant should have expertise in adolescent and young adult specialty and primary care, including those with weight concerns, reproductive health issues, eating disorders, complex care management, and mental health difficulties. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, are essential. The applicant should also have experience and strong interest in the teaching of trainees, including medical students, residents, and multidisciplinary fellows (adolescent medicine, social work, psychology, nursing, nutrition). Job responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical care at the main hospital campus in Boston and outpatient care at one of Boston Children’s Hospital satellite locations, such as Lexington, Norwood, Waltham, North Dartmouth, or Peabody. The applicant will be involved in the teaching of trainees, and will have opportunities to lead or collaborate on QI and clinical research projects. The applicant must be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license and Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Adolescent Medicine. The proposed rank for this position will be Instructor or Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School. Academic rank at Harvard Medical School is commensurate with accomplishments, scholarship, national recognition, etc.
The successful candidate will join a large Division of professionals engaged in diverse and robust research in adolescent health, including physicians, epidemiologists, psychologists, and biostatisticians. The Division is home to the only continuously-funded Leadership Education in Adolescent Health program in the U.S., which has been training the next generation of adolescent health leaders in medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, and nutrition for the past 32 years. The clinical programs within the Division include a large primary care clinic; outpatient specialty programs in reproductive endocrinology, long-acting reversible contraception, eating disorders, other weight-related conditions, and problematic interactive media use; and an inpatient service for treatment of eating disorders, medical gynecologic issues such as abnormal uterine bleeding, coordination of complex care, and treatment of primary care patients (e.g., for asthma). The Division is fully integrated into the Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University, including Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, creating a fertile environment for both research and clinical care collaborations.

Requirements
- Applicants should have expertise in the delivery of primary and subspecialty care to adolescents and young adults, including those with weight concerns, reproductive health issues, complex medical and psychosocial needs, and mental health difficulties.
- Applicants should also have experience in the teaching of trainees.
- Applicant must be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license and Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Adolescent Medicine.
- Applicants should be prepared to provide references upon request, including from current position/fellowship.
