Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Sugar Mill Country Club. We are a 27 hole facility with 18 holes recently renovated and 9 holes that are currently being planned for a future renovation. As the 2nd Assistant, you will play a crucial role in preserving the health and aesthetics of our golf course and surrounding grounds. Your primary responsibilities will include the precise application of herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides, irrigation repairs and audits, while also assisting in the supervision, scheduling, professional development, and recognition of team members to enhance their performance.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in working with chemicals, understanding turf diseases, and handling Florida grasses and weeds.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Chemical Application Specialist on golf courses or with a Landscape Company.
• Proficiency in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of application equipment.
• Self-driven, quick learner, and capable of following directions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high performance standards.
• Excellent communication skills, maintaining a professional demeanor when interacting with fellow employees, management, and members.
