Position Overview: Second Assistant Golf Professional

Tierra Santa Golf Course is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Second Assistant Golf Professional to join our golf operations team. Compensation for this position is based on experience. $10hr - $15hr

This role is ideal for an individual who is committed to pursuing a long-term career in the golf industry and is actively enrolled in, or willing to enroll in, the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program, with the goal of attaining Class A PGA Professional status.

The Second Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in the daily operation of the golf course and pro shop, supporting tee time management, tournament operations, staffing coordination, and overall customer experience. A strong emphasis is placed on professionalism, reliability, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tee time management, pace-of-play oversight, and starter/ranger coordination
• Support the planning and execution of tournaments, outings, and special events
• Assist in staff supervision, scheduling, and training of golf operations team members
• Support inventory control, merchandising, and point-of-sale operations in the golf shop
• Deliver a high level of customer service to members and guests at all times
• Maintain a professional presence while promoting the game of golf and the Tierra Santa brand
• Assist with instruction, clinics, or junior programs as needed

Qualifications & Expectations

• Strong passion for the game of golf and the golf industry
• Willingness to actively progress through the PGA PGM Program toward Class A status
• Understanding of golf operations, including tee sheet management and tournament operations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Punctual, dependable, and professional in appearance and conduct
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and tournament days
