Overview

Congress Lake Club was founded in 1896, it is a member-owned private club. William McKinley, governor of Ohio and soon-to-be President of The United States, sat on its board of directors. Four golfing grounds were developed on the property, two of which were designed by giants of the industry, Willie Park Jr and Donald Ross.

The club has 370+ members and offers upscale relaxed dining, golf, tennis, aquatics, and access to our 215-acre spring fed lake for boating and fishing. Today, our club honors and respects the historical heritage while providing modern amenities relevant to today's membership.

Seasonal position dates: April 15th - October 15th

Experience Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong customer service experience
• Commitment to upholding ethical work standards

Essential Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Club's mission and vision statements
• Assists the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting and coordinating club golf activities
• Adheres to the club's standard procedures for golf shop operations
• Promotes, sells and merchandises golf equipment and accessories to membership and guests
• Collects and charges necessary fees for all golf related activities and golf shop sales
• Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in the golf shop
• Supervises golf shop in absence of Senior Level Golf Professional Staff
• Assists in caddie management in absence of Senior Level Golf Professional Staff
• Assists in Outside Service management in absence of Senior Level Golf Professional Staff
• Plays golf with members of all skill levels to promote activity and enthusiasm
• Assists in conducting golf skills clinics (Junior Golf)
• Assists in the execution of member and guest golf events
• Attends all staff meetings as necessary
• Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional
• Adheres to all federal, state and local laws pertaining to safety, health and employment
• Anything else requested by the immediate supervisor for the successful operation of the Club
• Maintains a professional image that represents The Congress Lake Club in and outside of the workplace
