OverviewPosition Overview
The 1st Assistant Golf Professional is a key leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day "front of house" and "back of house" operations of the golf facility. This individual serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a premium experience from the first tee to the final putt. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy operator with a passion for retail, tournament logistics, and growing the game through structured instruction.

Qualifications & Requirements
- PGA Progress: Active enrollment in the PGA Professional Associate Program. Level 1 completion is strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Golf Genius and Microsoft Excel is essential for success in this role.
- Service Mindset: A "people-first" personality with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with poise and professionalism.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment: Availability for weekends and holidays during the peak season. Expect a 40-60 hour work week during summer months, offset by a more flexible off-season schedule.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Operations & Staff Leadership
- Manage daily golf operations, including opening/closing procedures, tee sheet management, and pace-of-play monitoring.
- Supervise and mentor outside service staff to ensure a high-touch, concierge-level customer service experience.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for budget tracking, labor reporting, and professional member communications.
- Daily reports and deposits to City Hall
- Act as the facility's Golf Genius Expert, overseeing portal setup, registration, and live scoring.
- Lead the execution of a diverse tournament calendar, including member leagues, high-end corporate outings, and community events.
- Deliver professional results communication and post-event reporting.
- Drive Golf Shop profitability by managing the full inventory lifecycle (ordering, receiving, tagging, and SKU management).
- Design and maintain creative, seasonal merchandise displays to maximize "the turn" sales and member engagement.
- Monitor sales trends to ensure the product mix aligns with the club's demographic.

Total Compensation & Benefits
Total Earning Potential: $80,000+
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 (Based on experience and PGA progress).
